Harlow Council equality policy a fitting legacy to late councillor Frances Mason

News / Sat 19th Jun 2021 at 02:57pm

A HARLOW Council equality document that stands as a legacy to the late councillor Frances Mason was passed by the new Conservative cabinet on Thursday night.

All sides agreed that it was a fitting testimony to the Labour councillor, who although a council for a relatively short time, touched so many lives.

Deputy leader of Harlow Council, cllr Joel Charles made reference to discussing the subject when planting trees in Old Harlow in January 2020 (pictured above).

Labour councillor, Eugenie Harvey used the opportunity to express her frustration at the “white male” make up of senior officers in Harlow Council.
