HARLOW MP Robert Halfon is set to write to the new Health Minster Sajid Javid over the plans for a new hospital for Harlow residents.
The former health minister, Matt Hancock had visited Princess Alexandra Hospital on a number of occasions and was seen as a supporter of the project for a new hospital.
Experience has shown that a change in a senior minister can,, not necessarily de-rail a project but can produce a fe bumps in the road.
Robert Halfon said:
“Harlow’s new hospital has been guaranteed by the Prime Minister and the Chancellor and the funding for the hospital was confirmed last year.
It has also been confirmed in Parliament many times and I am delighted that after many years of campaigning Harlow will soon have a new hospital, fit for the twenty-first century.
“The fact there is a new Health Secretary will not change those plans and I am looking forward to working with Mr Javid on delivering the new hospital and many other health related issues in Harlow.”
“I will be writing to Mr Javid to raise some of these issues and hope to arrange a meeting with him very soon to discuss these matters further.”
Well done at least we might get a date on starting the new Hospital. I hope that javid will get to visit our Hospital soon.
