Harlow man makes first court appearance to face indecency charges near Town Park playground

A HARLOW man has made his first appearance in court over a number of allegations relating to sexual activity near a children’s playground in Harlow Town Park.
Brendan Joyce, aged 61, of The Briars, Harlow has pleaded not guilty to the following.
On October 29th, 2020 at Harlow intentionally caused or incited a girl under the age of 13, namely 12, to engage in sexual activity of a non penetrative nature, namely asking for oral sex whilst exposing your genitals.
On October 29th, 2020 at Harlow intentionally caused or incited a girl under the age of 13, namely 12, to engage in sexual activity of a non penetrative nature, namely asking for oral sex whilst exposing your genitals.
On October 29th, 2020 at Harlow intentionally exposed your genitals intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress.
A trial date of July 23rd, 2021 at Chelmsford Crown Court has been set.
Joyce has been set a number of bai conditions.
Exclusion: not go within fifty metres of of any child’s playground area for any reason .
Other: Not to have any contact with any person under 18 without the consent of their appropriate adult after being made aware of the full circumstances of this bail condition.
