ESSEX Police is investigating a number of house burglaries and attempted burglaries in Harlow and are asking residents to be vigilant.
The four incidents took place in Greenhills, The Oxleys and Waterhouse Moor between June 27 and 30.
A 23-year-old man from Harlow was arrested in connection with three of the incidents.
Jacob Jordan, of Kingsland, Harlow, has now been charged with attempted arson, criminal damage, and receiving stolen goods.
He is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 4 August.
Police ask residents to be vigilant and report anyone acting suspiciously to us via 999 if a crime is happening immediately, or via https://www.essex.police.uk where you can use the ‘Live Chat’ button to speak to an online operator between 7am-11pm.
Alternatively, you can call 101.
You can also help deter would-be burglars by double locking windows and doors and taking some other simple steps to make your property as burglar-proof as possible.
Have you called 101 and got someone who knows which way is up. I've had a couple of reasons to dial 101. What a waste of time. I don't know what sort of people that they look to employ but they really need to make sure that the people that they employ are not halfwits. Even the police station shuts at 9pm. The town is a joke
I have zero faith in the police, none whatsoever
No faith. They located and charged him. Have no faith in the judge who lets him go
