A BLUE plaque was unveiled for the late chair of Harlow Health Centre Trust, Martin Lawn.
The plaque has been placed in the lobby of Lister House Surgery on Abercrombie Way.
Martin was not only the chair of Harlow Health Centres Trust from 1996 but also a founder member along with Stan Newens, Dr Frank Murphy and Dr Charles Taylor when the Trust was established in 1984 under the chairmanship of Lady Patricia Gibberd.
Martin’s widow Pat Roberts was present at the event.
This was installed in the lobby area in the main entrance of the building as a replacement to the bench which had been stolen.
Great man who had a positive influence on building local health services. We need to build on his legacy not destroy it.
Thank you Tony! Wise words.
And thank you Your Harlow
