Harlow Comedy Club: Three top comedians set to star

Entertainment / Fri 15th Oct 2021 at 08:04am

THE HARLOW Comedy Club returns on Friday October 29th.

This month’s comedians are:

LUKE TOULSON

In 2005 Luke was nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award as half of Toulson & Harvey, alongside such competition as Rhod Gilbert, Mark Watson and eventual winner Tim Minchin. In 2007, after a switch to stand-up, he won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Final.

He has performed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe seven times, including 2013’s show ‘I DON’T KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT MY KIDS’, which was selected as one of the Top 10 Comedy Shows at the Edinburgh Fringe by Amused Moose. He is now regularly in demand at comedy clubs across the UK.

He has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News, and parents may also recognise him as an actor from CBeebies’ Space Pirates.

JEREMY O’DONNELL

Jeremy O’Donnell’s comedy style mixes sharp one-liners with friendly story-telling and off-the-cuff audience banter. His cheeky smile and friendly nature have endeared him to audiences all over Britain and abroad, he is in high demand everywhere.

As well as performing both his live stand-up and sketches for television, he writes prolifically for TV and radio, working for the BBC, ITV and many others.

He is also an avid tea drinker.

DAVID TSONOS

If you want serious comedy David Tsonos is not your man. His comedy stems from being the youngest of five boys, babysitting his nephews and his cat. He has appeared at the Vancouver Comedy Festival and can be heard on Satellite radio. David makes them laugh until they can laugh no more.

David has been touring Canada since 1999, from one end to the other several times, and is now doing shows in the USA, the U.K. and further afield.

When not touring David has acted in commercials and TV shows. He also has found time to write and direct his own independent films. Contrary to popular belief, he is neither Greek nor Jon Lovitz, but will gladly act like either if the price is right.

An all male line up , what a surprise! No women on the bill whatsoever. No thanks.
