To get your 1st/2nd vaccine or booster –

Visiting a walk-in centre:

No appointment necessary
No ID
Just turn up
You do not need to be registered with a GP
For 1st or 2nd doses (2nd dose 8 weeks after 1st dose)
Boosters at least 3 months (91 days) after your 2nd dose of the vaccine

When can you have your 2nd Jab?

People aged 18+ will receive their second dose from 8 weeks after their first dose
People aged 16 and 17 will be offered a second dose from 12 weeks after their first dose
Children aged 12 to 15 will be only be offered one dose unless they are clinically extremely vulnerable or in an at-risk group.

Booster jabs

Booster vaccines – Currently available for all people aged 18 and over. At least 3 months (91 days) since your 2nd dose of the vaccine, you can book an appointment or pop into a walk-in centre for you booster dose. Book online – NHS national booking or to book by phone call 119. Find your nearest walk-in centre

Aged 16 to 17?

If you’re aged 16-17 you will now be offered 2 doses of the vaccine. This will be from 12 weeks after the first dose (8 weeks apart if you are in an at-risk group).

You can get your vaccine at a walk-in clinic or by booking online. You may also be contacted directly by the NHS and asked to book an appointment for your vaccine. Book your COVID-19 vaccination appointment

Aged 12 to 15?

Parents and carers of children aged 12-15 years old can either wait to be contacted with further information, can now book online, or attend a walk-in clinic. Please see the 12-15 page for more information.

Booster vaccinations and second doses for children – changes are due to take effect soon. Plans are being put in place following the national announcement to accelerate the vaccine programme for boosters and second doses for 12-15 year olds.

How long do I need to wait after testing positive for COVID-19 before I can have my vaccine?

If you are aged 18+, you can have the vaccine 28 days after a positive COVID-19 test or 28 days after your symptoms started.

If you are under 18, the latest medical advice is that you need to wait for 12 weeks after a positive test result.
