Politicians give their reaction to launch of Levelling Up plans for Harlow

WHATEVER the merits or de-merits of the Levelling-Up plans for Harlow announced on Friday, YH had never seen so many Essex County councillors in the town.

But it was also an event that managed to get so many key stakeholders in the room.

Not only the politicians, but also key players from Kao Data, Harlow College, BMAT, West Essex CCG, Harlow Chamber of Commerce to name just a few.

After the presentations, we spoke to Harlow MP Robert Halfon and the deputy leader of the Essex County Council, cllr Louise Mackinlay.

More Tory bull. Only people who are levelling up are the MPs that squander our taxes to enrich themselves. Throw us some scraps and hope we will be happy.

Have residents noticed how many Essex County Council staff are highly paid? When I say 'highly paid' I mean salaries in excess of that of our PM's basic salary. These people are not attending to the life long potholes talked about for decades. Nor the problems of street lighting/damaged signs etc. remaining faulty.

would it be the same crap labour announced a few years ago , "£5 million refurb of all council properties" , yet to see anything from that, pauline s is correct , a lot of mp's are self serving , youve only got to look at the state of everything in harlow its a complete mess

A lot of levelling up words, lost count how many times you said that. No details, no facts. But a lot of waffling. How many council houses. Give us details, and truths. What exactly are you saying. Save our river stort. .
