GREATER Anglia staff at Bishop’s Stortford, Stansted Airport, Stansted Mountfitchet, Sawbridgeworth and Harlow railway stations are collecting Easter eggs for sick children.

Donations from passengers and other members of the public will be handed over to the paediatric ward at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.

GA staff collected chocolate eggs two years ago but because of the Covid-19 pandemic they were diverted to local food banks.

Ticket office clerk Michael King said: “Stations between Stansted Airport and Harlow Town will be collection points for staff and customers to donate Easter eggs and treats for Harlow hospital children’s ward.

“We’re going to start the collection from March 1 until April 10 and then deliver them to the hospital on April 12 or 13.”
