The second XI faced West Essex 2nd XI in a frustrating game where the bowlers received no help from the pitch or the non-neutral umpires as well as having 10 men due to a late injury. West Essex made a huge 318 from their 45 overs. Three wickets each for Tyrone Mazarura (3-49) and Tom Wilcox (3-68) and the rest shared around, Vineet Jain (2-54), Simon Rowell (1-40). The Third XI fine start to the season came crashing to a halt at Woodford Wells. Wells attack were relentless from the start strangling the Town batters with only Adam Stott (31) and Marc Lowers (20) making any significant contribution. Town ended on 106 all out from 22 overs. In reply Woodford Wells knocked the total off in 16 overs, thanks to some fine batting from their top order batters with both scoring half centuries. The 3rd XI will look to return to winning ways this weekend when they host Essendon CC at Ash Tree Field.
