Harlow Labour leader responds to damning Lister House report

THE leader of the Harlow Labour group has responded to the highly critical government report into Lister House in Harlow.

Councillor Chris Vince said: “The CQC report is extremely concerning for residents of Harlow and who rely on Lister House and their families. 

I hope for them that the issues that are raised in the report are addressed as a matter of the utmost urgency. 

It is vital that the surgeries management (including Stellar Healthcare Ltd), along with the CCG and the government, look at the root causes of these issues and come up with an action plan to address them. 

“Recruitment and retention of staff, along with funding, is clearly a large issue and one which has led to a number of the issues identified in this report.

The problem has steadily got worse there are too many people and more keep arriving and registering and not enough staff Doctors to cope some my doctor is a terrific doctor but only does part time. The answer is maybe more surgeries built to deal with other load of people coming into Harlow.

It's extremely frustrating when you are on the phone, waiting to get through for over an hour every time. It costs me just under 5 pounds every time. They need sorting out that's for sure.

My surgery states how many people are waiting when I telephone. One time this month I was No. 36 another time 22 - no good hanging on! It appears to be a problem throughout Harlow.

Doctors need to go back to face to face work haven't see one in 3 years and that's not for the want of trying

Discusting service, someone else's details sent to me instead of mine, with his name address medidical problem, when I brought up with surgery, very dismissive, also like to know why surgery informed before visit, so much can be hidden.
