Harlow Labour Party speak out over abortion decision in USA

HARLOW Labour Party are both saddened and appalled at the overturning of Roe v Wade by the US Supreme Court.
Roe v Wade stood for 50 years giving women the right to access abortion. It is a fundamental right that women have autonomy over their own bodies, no woman should ever be forced to give birth.
The situation of many Women being forced to travel to other states to receive the medical attention they require is not acceptable.
What is even more unacceptable is that many women will have to give birth to unwanted babies, some of whom will have been conceived in horrific circumstances, because they are unable to travel to another state.
Harlow Labour Party send our solidarity to women in America and elsewhere in the world fighting for the right to legal and safe abortion.
It is not ok to strip women of their rights.
We must always speak out in support of these rights.
It’s abortion now, what next? Because there will be a next!

Well said Lanie. Those Yanks are a mixed up bunch. Say they are pro life yet support gun laws which lead to so many innocent (and not innocent) deaths.

Americans have always been hypocritical. Do as I say NOT what I do has always been there moto. Good example as previously said, gun laws & abortion!! Kill anyone walking streets or in school, but up in arms re abortion.

Its a shame people don’t feel as free to pass judgement on other groups of people and cultures as the do for the Americans.

Women have had all the assistance to avoid pregnancy and have had for donkeys years !

Abortion is not a contraceptive but is often used as one. The gun doesn’t kill unless it’s aimed and fired by someone, so people kill people. USA will never abolish their gun laws it’s part of their heritage, all they can do is tighten up on them, but they will never prevent someone who has murderous intentions. It’s not just a problem in the USA, Copenhagens psycho shooter last week, and backstreet abortions will make a killing again.
