Two arrested and two injured after disturbance on Market Street in Old Harlow

Update: Both men have been released on bail until 31 August.
TWO men have been arrested after a disturbance broke out outside a premises in Market Street, Harlow, shortly after 10pm last night, Friday 12 August.
Police arrived and found two men had been injured as a result of the disturbance.
One man sustained hand injuries while the other sustained facial injuries.
Thankfully neither man’s injuries are life-threatening nor life-changing.
Two men aged in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of GBH.
They remain in custody for questioning and our enquiries are continuing.
Police need anyone who witnessed an incident or any suspicious behaviour in Market Street or the surrounding area in the lead up to 10pm last night, Friday 12 August, to get in touch as soon as possible.
Equally, they would like to hear from anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage of the street in that same timeframe.

Nope I was the chequers they were arrested after driving the car into jocelyns park and running threw to jocelyns whicbcttegxthought was way out fight broke out in garden of chequers

Not that long ago had three very good pubs, now there is two not so very good pubs.Seems to have gone downhill rapidly.

That's Harlow for you like living in a ghetto . All the money spent on refurbishment ie playhouse square etc cannot change the current culture, need to bring the heart back to Harlow and respectful behaviour.

Mr Blobby - it WAS the Crown. In fact, 2 fights on Friday night, both originating from the Crown. I saw the landlord chasing after the perps from the first fight. The Chequers is dead now.

As a resident I find we still don't get any support from the Council to ensure the pubs are run well and trouble & noise kept under control. The Chequers regularly flounces its licensing terms with music being played so residents can hear.. The Crown is now getting noisier with more fighting and loud music in the garden late with no regard to residents who live a couple of meters away. It's pretty rubbish here and that's 100% down to the pubs. The landlords don't even do simple steps like send a member of staff to collect all the glass and bottles that are left everywhere, sometimes smashed because they couldn't give too hoots for the local community.

I believe 3 thugs attacked 1 male … My friend was picking her daughter up from outside the car park, 3 of them was attacking 1 male all over the car park and on my sisters car , with no remorse for by standers or her car , He run into the Chinese and I say light hearted because I was not there was bottled in his face and other areas of his body What is happening these days, how do young men think it is ok to attack a person like this I would be ashamed if this was my child

People should to get their facts straight before making comments. The incident happened at the crown, as the picture shows, and as the article should have read so why, once again has the chequers been dragged in to something that had nothing to do with them and this isn’t the first time something has happened at the crown and the blame is put on the chequers by people who don’t know what they’re talking about. The incident started and finished at the crown.

The fight was in the Crown, this pub used to be a friendly local but has not turned into something from the Wild West, fights most weekend and young men weeing in the streets, and using abusive language at the top of their voices, the licence team really need a visit to this venue the garden is beyond a joke now. Hopefully someone will read this and follow thought.

There was a fight at the Chequers on Saturday, it went further down the road though as it progressed but started at the Chequers. I do hate it when folk don't #getyourfactsstraight ...... eh Fjifahfe. I blame the supermoon. Sent all the idiots even crazier this weekend!

Sodthisforalark, I have to disagree with you, I was at the chequers Saturday until close, had a lovely time and there were no fights, so if something did happen near the chequers it didn’t come from there and fyi, the chequers closes earlier than the crown but how about we ask the landlord of the chequers to check their cctv then we can all #getyourfactsstraight, eh hrupmh, the crown has now surpassed the chequers when it come to trouble, yes, years ago it wasn’t good but there’s a new landlord now and it’s much better. The crown is far worse now but as always any trouble on market street gets blamed on the chequers regardless with no proof.
