Harlow Council set to appoint Interim Chief Executive

HARLOW Council is set to appoint an interim chief chief executive following the sudden departure of former head, Brian Keane.

A special council meeting will be held on Monday September 5th at the council offices.

On the recommendation of the Appointments Panel, Rob Tinlin be appointed Interim Chief Executive with effect from 6 September 2022 for a period of up to six months.

Mr Tinlin has spent over 40 years in local government. He was chief executive of Southend Borough Council for twelve years. Recently, he has been interim chief executive for Uttlesford and Castle Point.

How much is he being paid? according to this article his rate is approx £1095 + VAT That would mean in six months in post he costs more than a full time Chief exec - all paid for by the council tax payers who are getting their income reduced significantly. https://www.essexlive.news/news/essex-news/interim-council-chief-paid-1000-5901375

May I suggest to Rob Tinlin that he tries smiling for his next picture. As an amateur photographer I would have deleted that image.
