If they are underage your camera could get you trouble.

Pop I’m sorry how is having a ring doorbell camera get you in trouble if they’re underage ? Police advise people to have these, it’s for safety, So you saying that, is having a dash camera the same then? I mean my dash cam captures every thing when I’m driving, even the public, so I don’t see how your point is relevant in anyway. Harlow has got worse and it will only get worse, the kids run riot, the alcoholics slumped in the town. This could be some drunks from hospital one night going on a rampage, so I don’t see how you referred to kids straight away

Doorbell footage is no help. I had goods stolen from my premises . It was recorded on 4K video camera. I then caught the person responsible, they admitted to the crime, I called the police who claimed to be too busy to send anyone out, so we let the person go and reported the matter to the police and supplied all the video and statements. The police investigated for 3 months then send me a letter saying there was not enough evidence to prosecute. You really can’t make it up, I am beginning to realise the police are not here to protect us, but keep us in our place.

Recently a bowls club was continually being vandalized, they installed cameras and captured the louts who happen to be children. The police warned the club about recording images of kids without concent. Unbelievable I know, Google it's sickening. What happened to the little sh#ts... Nothing!

I said "IF" they are underage.... Make a cup of tea, sit down and take a deep breath, then google ; Fed up bowls club told off by police for filming underage vandals.

Pop, shame you didn't read all of article your talking about. Kids we're taken home to parents by police. And article says that there is currently no laws in UK that prevents filming.

Mark, I re-read it, the police reprimanded the bowls club for filming kids ( although I don't suppose they knew who the culprits were at the time) and eventually they were made to write a letter of apology, lol, I call that doing nothing. Dear Bank manager, I am sorry to have robbed you bank....lol (We may have read different versions perhaps).

The Police are not interested in what evidence you might have

An 'eye for an eye' is your only course for justice now.

@ Pop, We did probably read different versions, no problem. But your right, a letter of apology is not going to pay for damages.

From what I made out of the article… they didn’t record on cctv as wasn’t working so probably used phones which yeah isn’t the right thing to do and tbf it was in Yorkshire not Harlow

Perhaps more street security cameras are needed around Harlow now and more police on the beat walking around even during the night?

The police can’t deal with this at the moment because they’re too busy confiscating escooters!
