HEART 4 HARLOW, an umbrella organisation for many of the faith groups in Harlow has issued a statement on the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

Statement from Heart 4 Harlow

It is with a combination of sadness and thankfulness that we receive the news of the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II.  We are thankful for her long and faithful service to our nation, her wisdom and humility, and the faith which she so openly professed.  In her own words in 2002 ‘I draw strength from the message of hope in the Christian gospel’.

We pray that the king, the Royal Family, and the whole nation will find strength and comfort from the source of that hope, Jesus Christ our Lord.  In His name we pray for blessing upon the king, and upon the nation he serves.
