Update: Statement from Essex Police
Officers were called shortly before 3.15pm on Tuesday 20 September to reports of someone seen with what was described as a firearm in the Longfield area of Harlow.
Officers attended the area and carried out a search.
A 38 year-old man from Sawbridgeworth was arrested on suspicion of firearms with intent.
He has since been released on bail until 10 October.

ARMED police surrounded a house in Harlow on Tuesday afternoon.
Police swarmed the area at just after 4.30pm.
Over a dozen officers including several in tactical armed uniform attended at the scene which seemed to centre on an end terrace house near to Tilbury Mead.

The alleged perpetrator hasn't been shot because he is probably light skinned, although that is more likely in the Metropolitan Police Service.
No charges taken that's funny ahh is that because someone told a pack of lies and wasted police time and money let alone upset the family involved shame on that person.
