Football: Henry Moore carve out victory in primary school tournament
Education / Mon 17th Oct 2022 at 06:37am
ONCE again, the Best Team Football Finals was a well-attended and super event. The 15 teams who had qualified from the previous week’s round, played really well and the standard of football was high.
Once the opening group game matches had been completed, the four semi-finalists played off with the additional rules of corner points and golden point time to enable a suitable finish time. The semi-final’s were very close affairs with Pear Tree Mead and Roydon both being narrowly edged out by Henry Moore and Abbotsweld respectively. The final was a close affair, with Henry Moore taking victory; they will represent Harlow in the forthcoming County Finals on Tuesday 22nd November in Chelmsford.
The afternoon’s Best Team Football Finals was excellent; the standard of football was good and the players managed themselves better than in previous years – thank you to all the school staff on hand to support the players and coaches.
