M25 remains CLOSED clockwise at junction J30 (A13) after an incident – traffic slow back towards J29 (A127). Anticlockwise is now open.
THERE was traffic chaos in Harlow as a consequence of ongoing protests on the M25.
The Dartford tunnel has been partly closed after activists staged protests at multiple locations on the M25 around London.
Essex Police said someone climbed a gantry over the road at junction 31 on the northbound carriageway at Thurrock at about 07:00 GMT.
It said it was working to remove the protester and its team was at the scene.
Both northbound tunnels were closed earlier, but one has since reopened.
As you can see from the maps below, traffic from all directions has diverted into Harlow in order to try and avoid delays.
The long term consequence is that traffic may continue to do that in anticipation of future protests.
The protest group should change their name to “ lets burn more oil” as it seems to be the only thing they have accomplished
Why stop traffic? If they are stupid enough to venture onto a motorway they deserve all that happens to them.
Hope it rains loads more if they climb up stuff just leave them there ignore them
