Football: Harlow Town’s relegation woes continue with another defeat

Football / Sun 27th Nov 2022 at 09:40am

Southern League Central Division

Cirencester Town 2 v 0 Harlow Town

HARLOW Town’s relegation woes continued with an away defeat at Cirencester Town.

Goals by Jay Simpson (71) and Jake Lee (92) secured all three points for the Gloucestershire side.

Harlow were hampered by having Josh Steele sent off on the hour.

The result leaves Harlow Town in 16th place, just one spot from one of two “drop zones”.

However, they do have a number of games in hand.

They return to league action on Saturday away at Aylesbury United followed by away to Biggleswade Town on December 6th.

Their next scheduled home game is on Saturday December 10th at home to Hertford.

Hopefully, by then, they will be able to sort out whatever is preventing them from playing at home.

We asked the club for a statement via their press e mail but no reply was given there. We did ask the club secretary via a fans facebook page but she declined to comment as they don’t want to “give out incorrect information”.

I have emailed them in the past at all levels several times about a particular issue, regarding the women’s team, alas no response! the club/owners don’t appear to like scrutiny.
