A CLASSIC Raleigh Chopper has been stolen from Harlow Museum.
Harlow Museum staff noticed it was stolen this morning from the cycle display at the Muskham Road museum off First Avenue.
The Raleigh Chopper was a very popular bicycle in the seventies. Every street in Harlow had a kid on his Raleigh Chopper.
The chopper is part of a prize winning collection of cycles in the Museum.

Time for CCTV I guess: what are things coming to?
Only a Mark 3. 1996 on. No sterilisation gearstick or dangerous double seat like the rich kids could afford in the seventies! Still a shame, but not priceless like a lot of the stuff there. Sure the scrote who stole it doesnt realise!!
Coming to a boot sale near you soon
Just seen on Harlow bargains, it’s a good price as well
If he manage to get a mk1 or a mk2 I’d be interested as they are more collectable and sought after than the mk3
Shouldn't be that hard to locate really..A young scrote dressed completely in black with his hood up wearing a black face mask and riding around on a bright red Raleigh Chopper with a fighting dog in toe..
You can’t even leave your chopper out these days without someone getting their hands on it.
