OH the weather outside is chilly but…inside the Mark Hall Sports Centre it was lovely and cosy as 20 teams joined for a Year 3 and 4 Kurling Festival.

Supported by young Leaders from Church Langley, the four groups of competitors soon got to grips with the strategy and techniques required to play.  

Having played everyone in their group, the teams were re-pooled, with the strongest 4 teams playing off for the Gold medal positions. After a ‘quick-fire’ round of two-end matches, Little Parndon 2 (Reds) secured the title, losing only one match throughout the morning. Church Langley 3,Cooks Spinney 2 and Cooks Spinney 1 were unable to be separated, so all three teams finished joint runners-up on 8 points, with Potter Street 1 taking the bronze medals.

Group 1: 

1^st place – Little Parndon 2 (Reds) – 10 points 

= 2^nd place – Cooks Spinney 2 – 8 points 

= 2^nd place – Church Langley 3 – 8 points 

= 2^nd place – Cooks Spinney 1 – 8 points 

5^th place – Potter Street 1 – 6 points 

Group 2: 

6^th place – Jerounds 2 – 11 points 

7^th place – Jerounds 1 – 9 points 

8^th place – Church Langley 2 – 8 points 

9^th place – Tanys Dell – 7 points 

10^th place – Potter Street 2 – 5 points 

Group 3: 

11^th place – Church Langley 1 – 11 points 

12^th place – Hare Street 1 – 9 points 

13^th place – Little Parndon 1 (purple) – 8 points 

14^th place – Purford Green – 7 points 

15^th place – The Downs 1 – 5 points 

Group 4: 

=16^th place – Little Parndon 3 (whites) – 9 points 

=16^th place – Hare Street 2 – 9 points 

=18^th place – The Downs 2 – 8 points 

=18^th place – Purford Green 2 – 8 points 

20^th place – Church Langley 4 – 6 points
