ONE of the most important events in the Harlow Amateur Boxing Club (HABC) year is the afternoon of bouts that are purely focussed on skills.
This gives young fighters, often on debut a chance.
Many got their chance at the GPCA on Abercrombie Way recently.
HABC’s Paul Allen said: “We had a enjoyable family day event as it was a skills bout show aimed at giving children 10-16yrs old the experience of boxing in front of a big audience, for some it was a first time with others may have gained further experience.
“Overall it was a huge success with Lots of happy faces of satisfaction from the youngsters who got in the ring to take part with the support from their families.
“All the participants received a memorable trophy handed out by representatives of HTS Carol Mackenzie and Jewsons Partnership Solutions Adam Sibley.
“We were also delighted to receive a £500 sponsor donation from the companies
