News / Tue 13th Dec 2022 at 07:47am

A COLD Weather Payment trigger has occurred for postcodes in Harlow and the villages.

£25 will be paid to eligible residents within Harlow living in the postcode districts listed below, helping to support the most vulnerable this winter.

Postcode districts: CM17, CM18, CM19, CM20, CM21, CM22, EN9, EN10 and EN11.

The alert was triggered on 8/12/2022 for the period 8/12/2022 to 14/12/2022.

Cold Weather Payments are made to recipients of selected benefits, and you’ll get a payment if the average temperature in your area is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees celsius or below over 7 consecutive days.

You’ll get £25 for each 7 day period of very cold weather between 1 November and 31 March.
