YOUNG table tennis players are celebrating winning a Harlow-wide tournament.
Eight pupils from Year 5 and 6 at Roydon Primary Academy, in Roydon, played against other Harlow schools in a table tennis tournament at BATTS Table Tennis Club.
They played through to the finals before being crowned winners.
The players practise their skills during their break and lunchtimes, as well as in PE lessons at school.
The two teams took part in the county finals, with the boys finishing fifth and the girls coming third and picking up bronze medals.
PE teacher Elaine Luscombe said: “Both teams played incredibly.
“We are all so incredibly proud of the children who took part; they were committed to improve their skills and were absolutely outstanding.
“They showed great teamwork and endurance.”
