THE KINGSMOOR Scouts were all set to have their Christmas party but then the snows and with it sub zero temperatures had their say.

The pipes at the hut up at Kingsmoor burst and so it looked like the Christmas party was off.

But then Masons at the Church Road in Potter Street came to the rescue and offered one of their halls to the scout group.

The scouts had a great time and all said they were very pleased to have their Christmas party.
