SAINT Mark’s Year 9 Netball team went down fighting as they bowed out of the Essex Schools Cup.

The team had blazed a trail through Harlow schools all year but their battle in the last sixteen may have been a game too far for Miss Webster’s warriors.

They lost 24-18 away against Great Bentley.

Praise went to all the players who gave their all and especially team captain Millie, who skippered the team throughout the season showing great leadership skills and maturity.

A number of the players are now due to play in the year 11 team in future matches which will no doubt be a great experience.
