THE Harlow and District Premier Darts league kicked off the first two of the mid-season knockouts. 

On Friday 6^th January, the league held their 4’s knockout competition at GPCA. In a keenly contested final current league leaders Servolink defeated league newcomers JP Rogues 3-2.

The opening 4 legs, including a 180 for Rogues Jim Wicks, were shared leading to a deciding leg. Rogues started the deciding leg brightly, but Servo’s class shone through with Steven Beasley hitting a 180, followed by his teammates hitting consecutive scores of over 100 to wrestle the advantage from the Rogues allowing Servo to wrap up a 3-2 victory. In the semi-finals, Rogues defeated Tye Green Pirates 3-0, and Servo defeated Tye Green Drifters 3-0. On the night Jim Wicks had 2 180’s and Liam Cashman (Tye Green Drifters) has a 180 and a 115 checkout.

The following Friday GPCA hosted the team knockout competition. Taking a small piece of revenge for losing in the semi-final the previous week, Tye Green Drifters defeated ServoLink 2-0 in the final thanks to an under pressure 74 checkout from Pat Yates. Drifters had a nervy semi final against Bowling Greens, prevailing 2-1 in a game littered with high scores and missed doubles, whilst ServoLink did not drop a leg in reaching the final including a 180 from Chris Squirrell and 2 180’s from Jack Pledger.
