A SUPERB scoring blitz from Dan Wood set Sawbo USC on the way to a thumping 11-1 victory over Paringdon Minions. In the very first leg of the night Dan smashed his way to 2 x 180’s and hit the double for his team at the first attempt as he hit 7 perfect darts, no doubt his darts will still have ended on top of the club at the end of the night. Peter McDonald and Steve Moody (both Sawbo USC) hit big scores courtesy of a 180 and a 108 checkout, whilst Matt Walton (Paringdon Minions) hit a 180 of his own.

Elsewhere in the title race, Paringdon Lions defeated league newcomers JP’s Rogues 10-2 with a dominating performance, there must have been something in the water on Friday with high scoring in the first legs as Dan Galloway (Paringdon Lions) hit a 180 and 122 checkout. Thomas Banks (Paringdon Lions) celebrating being picked for England boys, also chipped in with 2 x 180’s of his own on the night. This means the 180’s league is now a 3 way tie between Banks, Wood and Keith Arber (Servolink) all on 7 league 180’s each. This result from Paringdon Lions allowed them to gain a point on league leaders Servolink ahead of this week’s top of the table clash between the two teams.

Looking to defend their title Servolink gained an 9-3 victory away to Bowling Greens with Jack Pledger hitting a 180. Servolink will feel confident holding a 10 point lead at this point of the season and barring any disasters on Friday will be in a position to retain their title with games to spare.
