St Nicholas’ School hosts multicultural dance festival fun

Education: Primary / Thu 9th Feb 2023 pm28 07:39pm

WHAT a way to end the week! In contrast to the hectic competitive pace of the morning’s Hockey finals, the annual Multicultural Dance Festival was a coming together and sharing of good practice and fun.

Hosted once again by Saint Nicholas school, the theatre provided a fantastic back drop for the dance troops from Freshwaters, Church Langley and Saint Nicholas.

The audience were treated to facts and information about the chosen regions before being mesmerized by dances inspired by African women, Rock n Roll from the 1950’s and the music of Tina Turner. The performers were awesome and were clearly thrilled to share their hard work.

With some time remaining at the end, it was such an amazing sight to see all the dancers mix-up and perform a section from each of the 3 dances; the staff from each school lead the moves, having as much fun as the children!

The children gave whole- hearted thanks to Mr Tucker (Saint Nicholas) for his organization and hosting skills; the children were provided with refreshments courtesy of Saint Nicholas.

It really was a fantastic afternoon and well-worth the school’s staff investing their own time and efforts; the children loved it and are already discussing ideas about what to do next year!
