Harlow Labour remain “sceptical” over new hospital announcement

THE LEADER OF Harlow Labour has said he “remains sceptical” after Thursday’s announcement regarding plans for a new hospital in Harlow.
Councillor Chris Vince said: “Harlow Labour has always acknowledged the need for a new hospital to replace the ageing PAH and we welcome todays’ announcement that after years of delays and empty promises, it is now scheduled for construction, but we remain sceptical.
“We have been here before. In fact, at the last General Election, Harlow’s Conservative MP promised a new hospital by 2025 and now we are being told 2028 at the very earliest with not a brick being laid until after the next General Election.
“The cost of this delay is a massive £250m.
“Meanwhile there should be real concerns about how we can staff this hospital, if it ever arrives. Many PAH nurses are finding it impossible to afford to live in Harlow and are moving elsewhere for work.
“The government must address this issue and the many others facing our NHS.
“Sadly all we have from the Conservatives so far are delays, dithering and empty promises.
Ain't we all. But you lot didn't build one either.
Sceptical or realistic and honest.
As the health Secretary today has admitted all new hospitals won't be new, just refurbishments, scepticism is warranted. Over to Halfon, what category is ours?
Come on now Robert - time to get Mr.Barclay here and tell us the truth. Are we getting a new hospital, or just a revamp? To answer Labour - how many PFI agreements signed by Labour are still cripplingly the NHS with debts and bringing some Trusts to their knees. Neither Party can be trusted with the jewel in our Crown - the NHS. Time for something different! How about a Party with a plan to get rid of waiting lists altogether?! Mark Gough Reform UK
The Labour Party's plan for increased use of private hospitals is described by Welling GP Dr Bob Gill as a "Brain Dead Idea". Listen to Doctor Gill explain it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/a0bMReSMj2k
Forgot to mention that Dr Bob Gill exposed the donations made to Labour leader Keir Starmer and Labour's Health Secretary Wes Streeting from people with interests in private health care. Dr Gill says this "has created a blatant conflict of interest." Listen for yourself at https://youtu.be/a0bMReSMj2k
