HARLOW Running and Tri Club were represented at the Bedford Triathlon Team Relays (lake swim 750m, bike 23k, run 5k) which also incorporated the East Region Championships. Thirty triathletes competed in ten same gender or mixed teams of three. All three members of the team had to complete each discipline in turn before the team moves on to the next discipline.

Leading the way were Team Alan Knightley, Simon Morgans and Iain Bolloch who finished the event in 14th place out of 120 teams in 4hrs 12min 41sec. Not far behind were mixed team of James Dowsett, Paige Bircham and Lucy Barnes finishing in 22nd place in 4.22.59 and Christian Golebiowski, James Catton and Ryan Smith 29th in 4.23.36.

Three teams finished closely together, Jamie Olsen Ferriera, Emma Luck and Suzi Middleton were 54th in 5.05.46, Louise Kedge, Colin Langbridge and  Kerry Mavris 55th in 5.06.12 and Gail Nicholls, Dionne Jones and Anna Robey 56th and 2nd Female Vet Team in 5.07.01.

Kate Babb, Alison Wilkinson and Timothy Wood were 64th in 5.23.43, Ella Wager, Jane Evans and Alan Coots 69th in 5.29.56, Peter Berry, Donna Milton and Michelle Sheridan 75th in 5.47.06 and Brady Ramsey, Selina Morgan and Claire Carter 76th in 5.54.52.                 

Meanwhile, at the San Francisco Half Marathon Dominic Emery finished in 1434th place out of 3411 finishers in 2.08.37.

At the Chelmsford Central parkrun Kirk Crudgington finished in 5th place out of 672 finishers in a 5k PB time of 18.24.

At Harlow parkrun Bradley Holmes finished in 74th place out of 246 finishers in a 5k PB time of 25.29 and Liz Roberts was 89th in 26.27(PB).

Last week at the Standard Chartered City 5k Ella Wager finished in 145th place out of 5253 finishers in 23.05, in her debut at the distance, and Dominic Emery was 1522nd in 23.25.

At the Odyssey Trail Event, at St Neots, Laura Prime completed 6 7k laps for a total distance of 42k in 4.21.14.
