HARLOW Running and Tri Club’s prolific distance runner Laura Prime, not content with just one marathon run, completed two marathons over the weekend, both at Bury Saint Edmunds. 

On Saturday Laura completed the Zig Zag Running Great Barrow Challenge Marathon on the Denham Flats Route, finishing in 14th place out of 42 finishers in 4hrs 31min 45sec.

Then on Sunday Laura completed the multi-terrain Zig Zag Running Great Barrow Challenge Gallops Route, finishing in 12th place out of 49 finishers and 3rd Female in 4.29.57, quicker than her first run! 

Meanwhile, at the Lee Valley Sundowner Half Marathon Sean Flynn finished in 50th place out of 81 finishers in 2.02.54.

HRTC triathletes were in action at the Hertfordshire & Middlesex Triathlon event at Rickmansworth where Standard and Sprint Triathlons were available as well as an Aquabike.

In the Standard Triathlon (1500m Swim, 42km Bike, 10km Run) Chris Donnelly finished in 44th place out of 104 finishers in 3.10.37, in his debut at the distance.

In the Sprint Triathlon (750m Swim, 25km Bike, 5km Run) Gail Nicholls finished in 37th place out of 105 finishers and 1st Female Vet 55 in an excellent 1.48.22, Michelle Hyde was 54th in 1.54.07 in her debut at the distance, Michelle Sheridan 57th in 1.57.06, Emma Luck 62nd in 1.58.04 and Jane Evans 95th in 2.12.43.

In the Aquabike (1500m Swim, 42km Bike) Brady Ramsay finished in 7th place out of 12 finishers and 2nd Female in 2.13.13 and Colin Langbridge was 10th in 2.32.28.

At the Grafham Water 5k Swim in Cambridgeshire Lucy Barnes finished in 9th place out of 49 finishers and 2nd Female in a superb 1.32.39 and Louise Kedge was 12th and 1st Female Vet 35 in 1.38.56.

At the Kesgrave parkrun Rhys Shimmen finished in 99th place out of 245 finishers in a PB time of 27min 02sec.
