HARLOW Running and Tri Club’s triathletes Jon Waight and Ryan Smith completed the Dorney Lake Sprint Triathlon (750m Swim, 20km Bike, 5km Run) at Windsor on Sunday morning.

Jon finished in 24th place out of 205 finishers and 1st Male Vet 60 in an excellent PB time of 1hr 13min 53sec.

Ryan finished with a time of 1 hr 10 mins and 14 sec. He was first in 40-44 category.

Meanwhile, at the South West Coast 50km Trail Ultra, Laura Prime finished in 37th place out of 366 finishers in an exhausting 7.20.07. This comes after Laura completed a double marathon the previous weekend!

On Saturday morning at a wet and muddy Orion Harriers Forest Five Mile race through Epping Forest at Chingford Martin Westley finished in 12th place out 240 finishers in 32.09, Martyn Coulter was 19th in 32.46, Linda Helm-Manley 120th in 41.42, Louise Cootes 141st in 44.00 and Liz Roberts 163rd in a PB time of 45.50.

There were parkrun PBs from John Taylor at Chester parkrun, finishing in 94th place out of 161 finishers in 29.09 and from Nigel Barton at Harlow parkrun, finishing in 162nd place out of 202 finishers in 34.11.
