HARLOW CC are delighted to report a sensational match winning innings from one of their Colts whilst representing West Essex earlier this week.

George Jessey, who is better known for his wicket taking spin bowling, struck a career best 147 not out to almost single-handedly help his rep side chase down a huge target of 286 to win.

The outstanding innings was all the more remarkable as despite several close shaves George hadn’t reached 50 before with the bat.

George, and brother Alfie, are making excellent progress this season and have featured playing an important role in helping the 3rd XI sustain their title challenge whilst younger brother Charlie has also made an incredible start to playing Colts cricket.
