Heath Players mark Margaret’s fifty years with theatre company

SEVERAL times a year, Your Harlow’s editor Michael Casey drives up to Hatfield Heath Village Hall to review a play by the Heath Players.
On each occasion, he is met by Margaret Lines. Margaret has his ticket and programme ready and escorts him to his reserved seat.
There is even a token for a complimentary drink. Where Margaret got the idea that a journalist is partial to a small glass of wine, he will never know!
Margaret has been an integral part of the Health Players team since 1973.
The main hall is named after her late husband, Peter Lines. Their son is the well-known Daily Mirror reporter Andy Lines.
After their last show, members of the company presented Margaret with a commemorative vase to celebrate her 50th anniversary with the Heath Players.
A spokesperson said: “Margaret is first recorded as making costumes for our 1974 pantomime Sleeping Beauty (although I suspect she may have been working uncredited before then!)
“Since then she’s been a stalwart of the group in particular organising and working in our bar and Front of House teams as well as being our Treasurer.
“Thanks Margaret! “
Margaret has also worked as an usher at the Harlow Playhouse and as in Hatfield Heath, she is so polite and courteous.
Look forward to seeing you in the New Year Margaret.
Terrific Margaret, well done and see you soon.
Lovely to see the recognition for all your good work Margaret! Well done!
