A HARLOW man is set to take on a 300 mile cycle for his much missed friend.

Dan McIntyre said: “I lost my best friend to cancer at the end of March 2024. Liam passed days before his 38th Birthday. He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer 8 years ago, and at the time, was given 6 months to live.

Through various clinical trials in London, and countless chemotherapy sessions, he got an additional 7 and a half years! Got married to his amazing wife Chelsea, and no matter what, he didn’t let it get him down.

I was lucky enough to get this extra time with Liam to make even more memories, therefore I’m cycling 300 miles in June to help raise money for Cancer Research UK in the hope others can benefit the same.
