NORTH Weald Bassett Parish Council has secured grants from the Rural Prosperity Fund for the Parish Hall in Thornwood, and assisted Hastingwood Village Hall in completing their application.

A grant of £8,000 will be spent on new windows at The Parish Hall at Thornwood Common while £32,000 has been awarded for a new wooden floor at Hastingwood Village Hall.

Each organisation has to pay 20 per cent of the cost of each project.
