An Essex Police spokesperson said: “A man has been arrested on suspicion of a hate crime as part of our response to an incident in Harlow, on 8 August.

The 63-year-old, from Harlow, was questioned on suspicion of using threatening / insulting words / behaviour likely to stir up racial hatred and released on bail whilst advice is sought from the Crown Prosecution Service.
