End of Triathlon Season Round Up

AS the triathlon season draws to a close, it has been a very busy August and September for Paul and Wendy Schroder, founding members of the New Hercules Running & Tri Club.

Paul Schroder managed three podium finishes out of 4 events securing a PB twice and Wendy Schroder competing 1 triathlon, finished 2nd in her age category and smashing her PB.

Paul saved his best performance for the last event of the triathlon season and finished with a PB, his Swim and Run times included the percentage needed from the winner which was good enough for Team GB Age Group Aquathlon 2025, he was very pleased to go sub 1:15 for a sprint triathlon distance event finishing in 01:14:13.

On the 7th September the duo also completed ‘K’ for the alphabet Parkrun challenge in Kettering by completing a different Parkrun with every starting letter of the alphabet. All letters (apart from X, which does not exist) were completed in the UK apart from Z, where they had to head to Zuider Park in The Hague, Netherlands, Paul & Wendy have now done over 50 different location Parkrun events.

On the 25th September, Duncan Forbes took part in the Gateley Chase The Sun Battersea Park 10k finishing in a PB Debut time of 00:59:28.
