YEAR 11 pupils from St Mark’s West Essex Catholic School took part in a mock interview day on 07 November, with a range of employers and educators giving up their time to help out.

Pupils had prepared their CV and thought of questions they would like to ask employers about their chosen career path. The event took place in Harlow Study Centre and pupils experienced all the formality as a real interview.

The feedback from pupils, parents and interviewers has been very positive.
Donnell:”They provided me with someone who has experience with the career I want to pursue. It was also very informative as the person interviewing me had a lot of advice”.

Chloe: “My mock interview was an amazing opportunity to ask questions and further understand the career I want to enter. It also gave me the opportunity to learn the skills necessary for real interviews”.
Danni:”Mock interviews were very professional and gave me a feel of how the real world works. I hope other schools get the same opportunity I did to prepare for a job interview”.
Nana: “It was an amazing experience and gave me a whole different perspective on how interviews went, it took a lot of my anxiety away”.
