Harlow Rugby Club help children at Christmas with a Sunday Santa Dash

ON SUNDAY, participants from across Harlow Rugby Club, along with members from their partner gym BodyFresh Fitness, took part in either a 1K, 3K or 5K run around the pitches.
Each participant was asked to bring an unopened toy that would be donated to Wickes in order to help ensure that as many children as possible have a gift to open on Christmas Day.

Members ranging from their mini’s section, through to senior rugby (and even some of their lifetime members) donned their favourite Christmas attire and running shoes for a morning of festivity.
Even the HRUFC Colts team decided to take part in the 1K run before their league fixture against Westcliff.

Acting co-Chairs Kev Harman and Paul Eynon said: “It’s fantastic that so many of our wonderful members have chosen to take part and donate to such a worthwhile cause.
The local community is at the heart of everything we do at HRUFC and we’re extremely proud to be able to give something back at this time of the year”.
“The club’s intention is to make this an annual event with ambition to hopefully make it bigger and better next year. If people would like to donate, they have until Wednesday 18th December to donate a gift at your local Wickes store”.
