What happened to the Labour councillors? Maybe, they were too embarrassed to attend after Starmer's government scrapped funding for the only Muslim hate crime reporting site Tell Mama, despite a massive surge in Islamophobic hate crime. No "Slamming" of the Labour government by Chris Vince for pulling the funding of Tell Mama? He would have been all this over like a rash if the Conservatives had done this.

Strange funding cut decision by Labour government given the answer provided by Baroness Scott of Bybrook on behalf of the Conservative government in the House of Lords on April 4, 2024. The key paragraph: "Tell MAMA’s work has been recognised internationally as a good practice model in recording and monitoring anti-Muslim hate. Tell MAMA engages regularly with Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities officials to monitor progress and provide feedback on issues affecting Muslim communities and our response to anti-Muslim hatred."
