The incident is close to the Mayfield Bakery turning.
All emergency services including the air ambulance are in attendance.
We have contacted the relevant media departments for more details.

Why do Essex Highways even bother - It's Gilden Way, not Gideon Way and you've marked the wrong road as closed on your map - You should know Essex Highways as you designed the appallingly designed road. In the meantime everyone, just refer to Google Maps.
Hardly surprising the roads a death trap waiting for fatalities. The single path alongside the duel carriageway with no barriers, the no turn right into mayfield farm ignored, the so called 40mph speed limit 😂 hardly anyone driving less than 60 , the red lights that drivers ignore…. Won’t be long
Needs speed cameras down the road, as David says it's only a matter of time. There's a school at the end of this road with many kids crossing at the lights where people think it's a racetrack and ignore the lights or don't pay enough attention
I contacted our local councillor a week ago expressing concerns at the speed of traffic on this road. It’s a race track treated like a motorway in a residential area. Worse part is to and from the M11 to the Churchgate Street roundabout. My concern is for pedestrians. I live in Wetherly Close nearby. Try walking to the Mayfield Bakery any you feel as if you are taking your life in your hands. As usual the reply from the councillor was dismissive and ineffectual. Quote police won’t do anything unless there is a series of accidents. How awful.
So they close the underpass that was there and replace it with some traffic lights and a reduced speed limit which now forces all the people that had a safe route under the road to now cross the road, and this is somehow meant to be a road improvement. The mind boggles
This incident wasn’t a result of speed. The van turned right out of Mayfield farm, crossing the dual carriageway. The exit is left turn only for this reason.
This accident may not have been a result of speeding but the 40mph speed limit is not observed by many. Surely the residents of this area deserve to feel safe when walking near this fast road?
Didn’t have any problems untill due to houses being built changed the road layout hope the guy is ok
How long before we have fatalities along that road? The road needs Speed Cameras, Bollards to prevent illegal turns & Barriers to protect our Children, when walking to School. Councillor was "Apparently unaware" of these issues that have been raised....
No right turn into mayfield bakery ! No right turn into mulberry green Speeding cars New build houses Doughnut roundabout & your going to build PAH here Utter madness !!
What's worrying is the increasing amount of drivers found to be drug driving. I hope the motorcyclist makes a full recovery and his family are being full supported.
J7a is in the wrong place, linked to the wrong road. The scheme that made Gilden Way a highly dangerous race track and badly designed road illustrates the complete inability over transport and road projects associated with Harlow over 50 years of Essex to comprehend and build a road and transport system fit for purpose. It's been a series of knee jerk random short term pinch point funded schemes since they managed to build the M11 on the wrong side of town. It has wasted millions just as the current rush to put in a raised road culverted barrier crossing the bottom of the River Valley. The crossing will destroy the ecology of the Valley, cause more flooding into Harlow homes and gridlock the east of the town, the only silver lining might be is that it'll so jam up Gilden Way that the traffic speed will be reduced to walking pace. Perhaps that's the plan, build a road like River Way and close it off because they built it over a ransom strip of land that belongs to someone else.
I'm sick of all these selfish dangerous and drugged up drivers. Should never get behind a wheel again.
The problem with this junction it is not the right to turn in and out of the Mayfield farm estate. It takes 60 seconds to go to the roundabout. It was not drink or drugs that caused the accident it is because so many idiots did and still turn right . Hi have emailed the MP and Council numerous times before and since the accident and they all do nothing. If the paper wants a copy of the emails please contact me
