THE CHAIR of HARLOW Council has sent a message of condolence following the death of Pope Francis.
Councillor Andrew Johnson, Chair of Harlow Council, said:

“On behalf of Harlow Council, and personally as a Catholic I offer my deepest condolences on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.
I give thanks for his life of compassion and service, and I pray that his witness to mercy and peace may inspire us all—of every faith and none—to live with greater kindness.
May he rest in eternal peace and may Harlow’s Roman Catholic community be united in hope and solidarity during this time of mourning.”
