HARLOW Lawn Tennis Club’s Max Keni produced a series of outstanding performances representing Essex.

Recently, Max represented Essex in his first ever 10 and under County Cup.

Essex were in South Area, Group B, playing at Woodbridge Lawn Tennis Club. In the group was Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Bedfordshire.

The format is four singles and two doubles against each county.

On the Saturday Essex beat Bedfordshire 6-0 and then they beat Norfolk 5-1, Max did not play in these matches but supported the team throughout their matches.

On the Sunday playing to win a spot in the National finals Max got the call up and performed brilliantly winning his singles 4-2, 4-1 and then Max and his partner won their doubles in a tight match 2-4, 4-2, 10-6.

Essex come top of the group and now go through to the South Area Nationals Finals in Southampton on the 7^th & 8^th of June.

A fantastic effort from Max on his debut for Essex and the rest of the team on their performances throughout the weekend.

The club is very proud of Max and wish the team the best of luck in the National Finals!
