Harlow’s award winning actress Charlotte Spencer returns tonight with The Gold
Entertainment / Sun 8th Jun 2025 at 04:12pm
CRITICALLY-acclaimed factual drama The Gold will return for Sunday 8 June. All episodes will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am, ahead of the series starting on BBC One at 9pm that night.
The Gold is inspired by the true story and theories of the 1983 Brink’s-Mat robbery, which saw the theft of £26 million worth of gold bullion, and the decades-long chain of events that followed.
The six-part series is from award-winning writer Neil Forsyth (Guilt, Eric, Ernie & Me) and is produced by Tannadice Pictures, in association with All3Media International, for the BBC. The first series of The Gold aired in February 2023 with 8.7 million viewers for episode one.

The Gold stars Harlow’s Charlotte Spencer. Many will know Charlotte from her early days at Brenda Taylor’s School of Dance.
Since then, Charlotte has starred in a whole host of films and television series. In The Gold, she plays a hard-as-nails Detective Nicki Jennings.
There is a very good interview with Charlotte in The Independent. See below.

Good luck to the young lady. She comes from a lovely family, I saw her years ago in Mary Poppins.
