DETECTIVES investigating the death of Darren Moss in Harlow last December no longer believe his death is suspicious.
Darren, 59, was found injured behind The Rows shortly before 9.15pm on Wednesday 18 December.

Sadly, he died at the scene.
A spokesperson said: “Our initial enquiries around the circumstances which led up to Darren being found led us to believe his death may be suspicious and three men were arrested on suspicion of murder”.
Detective Inspector Stewart Eastbrook said: “My team has carried out a thorough and exhaustive investigation, but we have not been able to establish how Darren became injured or found evidence that someone else was involved.
“As a result, the three men arrested have all been told they face no further action.
“My thoughts, and those of my team, are with Darren’s family at this very difficult time.
“We will now pass a file to His Majesty’s Coroner.”
So the police couldn't discover how the dead man became injured. No wonder even my solicitor says the police are not what they used to be. Add to this their past failures to discover who killed the Essex Boys and John 'Goldfinger' Palmer. Palmer was shot six times and initially the cops thought his wounds were due to his gallbladder surgery. They waited 6 days before the very obvious penny dropped. Talk about incompetent, Essex Police couldn't find their rectum with a map. See article on Palmer at https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cdx5rvkeg94o
David Forman, your comments are unfair on Essex Police. Yes, Essex Police make mistakes, like every police force does, and like every company in every industry does. A lack of resource for policing in Essex, preventing investigation of every crime, and detectives, in fact every serving officer, being overwhelmed with their workload does not constitute incompetence. Have a moan at those responsible for setting the policing budget, and the politically correct brigade for hampering the police with their everyday activities. For reference, I do not know any police officer, I'm just a grateful citizen for them doing what appears to be a thankless task.
Anon, investigating murders is not like investigating anti-social behaviour. There is always resources made available for murder incidents. In Palmer's case the dozy coppers failed to keep an open mind, failed to secure the crime scene and failed to gather physical evidence before it was compromised by the weather for 6 days. It was known that Palmer was facing trial in Spain and it was likely his associates would be concerned he might cut a deal with Spanish police. The idea that gallbladder surgery could result in five more holes is laughable.
I just wish they would get the geography right. The ROWS run along the side of Market Square next to Birdcage Walk, not the back of Broad Walk.
