Three teenagers arrested following fatal collision in Ongar

SPECIALIST officers have arrested three teenagers following a fatal collision in Ongar where a 16 year-old boy has died.

They were called shortly before 12.20am today (Thursday 26 June) to a report of a car found in a ditch having left Blake Hall Road.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, a 16 year-old boy died at the scene.

Specialist officers are now supporting his family.

A spokesperson said: “We are working to establish what led up to the collision including who was driving the vehicle at the time.

As part of our enquiries three teenagers – a 19 year-old man and two boys aged 15 and 17 – have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

They were all taken to hospital but are not seriously injured and are currently in custody.
