THIS is Penelope, she is three years old and will be four in January.
Penelope has been diagnosed with Diplegic (spastic) cerebral palsy in September 2023, this mainly affects her lower limbs and co-ordination to her upper body.

Penelope has lots of different departments and healthcare specialists working with her to try and help her as much as possible to achieve her goals.
Penelope is a very determined, strong willed little girl who is always trying her hardest when given multiple tasks using her whole body to achieve the simple things people take for granted such as crawling, sitting up, and even holding a fork or spoon.
Penelope was born via emergency c section at 31 weeks due to mums (Chloe) placenta abruption – stage 3.

This type of cerebral palsy is the most common form. Her muscles appear stiff & tight, due to part of her brain being damaged from being starved of oxygen on delivery.
She is the most happiest & lovable little girl, who ever meets her they just fall in love with her.
She understands a lot, with what you’re telling her or asking her to do, & she will try her best to follow instructions.
She’s showing a lot of signs really wanting to learn and achieve her goals to the best of her ability.
We have a very long road ahead with Penelope, appointments each week, and lots of intense physio that will work her body and motor skills to the maximum. It will be very tiring and extremely painful for Penelope but with the right people and help in her life, we are sure she can achieve whatever she wants in life.
The sky is the limit and we would like everyone to follow her progress, see the different challenges she is faced with in everyday life, and enjoy her big cheeky smile when Penelope is smashing down obstacles that she is faced with throughout her journey.
Please give her instagram page a follow where mum and dad will post her progress and journey and maybe even give it a like to show your support.
